Last week, the Russian army used a Chernika drone for the first time to strike Kharkiv.
This was reported by Mayor Ihor Terekhov on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“The Russian aggressor continues its attempts to damage Kharkiv. Over the past week, our city has endured 16 enemy attacks. Most often, the enemy struck with Shaheds, but experts from the Department of Emergency Situations also recorded the first strike by a new type of drone called Chernika,” the post says.
According to Terekhov, this drone is similar in combat power to the “Molniia,” but has a different design.
“As a result of its strike, several cars in a garage cooperative were damaged. In total, four people have been injured over the past seven days, including a child. Fortunately, there were no fatalities,” the mayor said.
As reported, on June 29, the Russians attacked a residential area of Kharkiv with a drone.
