Since the beginning of the day, as many as 72 combat clashes have taken place between Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders, with ongoing battles on three frontline directions, the heaviest fighting occurring near Pokrovsk.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
Border settlements in Sumy region, including Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyna-Buda, and Prokhody, came under fire launched from Russian territory.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks. Russian forces launched five guided aerial bombs and 168 artillery strikes, including eight MLRS attacks.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, Ukrainian forces stopped three enemy assaults near Vovchansk, Hlyboke, and Petro-Ivanivka.
In the Kupiansk sector, one enemy assault occurred near Pishchane.
In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attacked eight times near Novovodiane, Ridkodub, Torske, and toward Serednie and Olhivka. Three engagements are still ongoing.
In the Siversk sector, two Russian attempts to advance toward Hryhorivka were repelled.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces launched three assaults near Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, and toward Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk sector, Ukraine’s forces repelled two offensive actions near Toretsk, Dyliivka, and Yablunivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops launched 25 attacks attempting to dislodge Ukrainian positions in areas including Rusyn Yar, Razine, Novotoretske, Myrne, Volodymyrivka, Myroliubivka, Myrnohrad, Lysivka, Udachne, Muravka, Novopavlivka, Orikhove, and Oleksiivka. 15 enemy assaults have been repelled so far.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Russian invaders launched 11 attacks near Zaporizhzhia, Komar, Perebudova, Piddubne, Fedorivka, Shevchenko, and Novopil. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole sector, Russian forces made one attempt to advance near Malynivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy conducted one assault near Kamianske.
In the Prydniprovske sector, one unsuccessful enemy attack was recorded.
On other fronts, the situation has not changed significantly.
As previously reported, Ukrainian forces are preparing counteroffensive actions in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna sector.
