Russian shelling of Kostiantynivka injures three civilians, damages homes, infrastructure

On July 1, Russian troops shelled residential areas of Kostiantynivka located in Ukraine’s Donetsk region, injuring three civilians.

This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office via Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“On July 1, 2025, for over an hour, the invaders were shelling Kostiantynivka with barrel artillery. Apartment buildings and private homes came under direct fire. As a result of the attack, a 52-year-old woman and her 32-year-old son were injured in their home. Another town resident was wounded on the street,” the statement reads.

The victims suffered blast-related injuries and shrapnel wounds, and have received medical assistance.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the shelling damaged two apartment buildings, 13 private homes, four commercial kiosks, and gas pipelines.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war) under the procedural oversight of the Kostiantynivka District Prosecutor’s Office.

As previously reported, three residents of Donetsk region were injured by Russian strikes on June 30.
