More than 100 residential buildings were damaged in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Zaporizhzhia following a nighttime drone strike by Russian forces.
Zaporizhzhia City Council Secretary Regina Kharchenko reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“More than 100 houses were damaged as a result of last night’s enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia. Municipal crews and emergency responders have been working since the early hours,” she wrote.
Emergency services have already boarded up broken windows in four high-rise buildings, and an additional 50 OSB panels were distributed to residents for temporary protection.
As of noon, damage had been confirmed at 24 apartment buildings and 92 private homes. Power outages have been reported, and several non-residential properties were also affected.
As earlier reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces launched four Shahed drones at an industrial site in the Shevchenkivskyi district on the night of July 1.
