Russian forces are deploying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)—including kamikaze drones—with particularly high intensity along the southern front.
Vladyslav Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, stated this during a television broadcast, according to Ukrinform.
“The situation in the south remains difficult, even though the number of ground assaults is somewhat lower than in other areas. We’re seeing two to three attacks daily in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors. The Prydniprovskyi sector is also particularly challenging, with daily enemy assaults aimed at seizing control of the island zone of the Dnipro. Nevertheless, we are witnessing one of the highest rates of enemy use of unmanned aerial vehicles, especially kamikaze drones,” he said.
According to Voloshyn, the southern sectors are also the most heavily affected by artillery and multiple rocket launcher attacks. He emphasized that the situation remains tense across all directions of the front.
As previously reported, 111 combat engagements took place across the front lines on June 30 alone, as of 22:00.
