Specialists from the Innovation and Information Center, a company relocated from Luhansk, have developed a unique piece of equipment designed to provide Ukrainian television and radio broadcasting in wartime conditions.

The National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

This innovation marks the first step toward establishing a network of mobile, autonomous stations and mobile telecommunications laboratories.

The mobile stations can be rapidly deployed to various locations to transmit Ukrainian digital television channels and FM radio. Thanks to autonomous power systems, they can cover areas up to 30 km for digital TV and up to 40 km for radio broadcasting.

These stations can also measure the quality of radio signals — an essential function for restoring broadcasting in territories liberated from Russian occupation or where infrastructure has been destroyed.

“In addition, they are capable of jamming enemy television and radio broadcasts, effectively countering Russian propaganda, particularly in border areas,” the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting said.

The new mobile stations serve as mobile analogs of the powerful Bakhmutivka and Komyshuvakha transmitters, which the Innovation and Information Center successfully operated from 2017 to 2021.

Representatives from the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting, the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications, and the National Security and Defense Council attended the presentation of the system.

The test broadcast was officially launched by Oleksii Kharchenko, head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, who underscored the strategic importance of these stations for national security and the fight against Russian broadcasting.
