Russian forces shell hospital in Kherson, several injured

Russian forces shelled a hospital in Kherson late on Tuesday, July 1.

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

“At around 23:00 yesterday, the Russian army shelled a hospital in Kherson with artillery,” Prokudin wrote.

The attack severely damaged the hospital building. Five patients and three medical staff members were injured. A 44-year-old hospital worker was hospitalized with blast trauma, a concussion, and shrapnel wounds to the chest.

Two other staff members, aged 54 and 44, are receiving outpatient treatment.

Four injured patients remain in the medical facility: two men aged 58 and 60, and two women aged 64 and 57. All suffered blast injuries, concussions, and various shrapnel wounds.

Another victim, a 69-year-old woman, received medical assistance but declined hospitalization.

On July 1, Russian forces shelled the village of Antonivka in the Kherson region with artillery, injuring an elderly local resident.
