The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has requested a phone call with U.S. counterparts to clarify the details of further defense supplies.

The MoD press service reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform saw.

The Ukrainian side pointed to the reports of delays in the supply of certain elements of previously allocated defense assistance packages from the United States and is seeking to clarify the actual circumstances of  supplies, the report says.

“Ukraine has not received official notifications of the suspension or revision of the schedules for the supply of previously agreed defense assistance, so we are proceeding from the actual data and verifying the details of each element in the supply,” the Ministry of Defense noted, adding that they requested a phone call with colleagues from the U.S. to further clarify the details.

“The outcome of contacts with our American partners will be further reported at the level of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine,” the ministry noted.

“Individuals in Ukraine who are currently making public comments on these developments do not have all the factual data for objective reasons.”

The ministry called on the public to consume official and verified reports from reliable sources.

“It is critically important for Ukraine to maintain stability, continuity, and predictability in the provision of coordinated defense assistance – primarily in the field of strengthening air defense systems,” the Defense Ministry emphasized, expressing gratitude to the United States for support.

The Defense Ministry said they highly appreciates the efforts of American partners aimed at achieving real peace.

“We emphasize that the path to ending the war lies through consistent and joint pressure on the aggressor, as well as through continued support for Ukraine,” the Ministry of Defense added.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, referring to NBC News, White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly confirmed that ammunition and missile deliveries to Ukraine have been suspended as the U.S. assesses it needs to fill up own stocks.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine explained to the U.S. Chargé d’Affaires a.i. in Ukraine John Ginkel the critical importance of defense support for Ukraine.
