Russian attack against Kherson hospital “war crime”, part of Russia’s deliberate campaign – top diplomat

Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha of Ukraine called for sending the right signal to Russia after the shelling of a hospital in Kherson, strengthening Ukraine’s capabilities, and increasing pressure on the aggressor state.

The minister made the statement via X, Ukrinform reports.

“This is a war crime, part of Russia’s deliberate campaign to target hospitals,” Sybiha stressed.

The minister recalled that together with his Lithuanian counterpart Kęstutis Budrys he had recently visited the city where the two saw underground maternity wards and schools, as well as medics mounting electronic warfare devices on ambulances to protect them from Russian drones.

“This is the terrible daily reality for people in Kherson and throughout Ukraine. Moscow shows no willingness to put an end to the killings and seek a diplomatic solution. We must send the right signals to the aggressor by strengthening Ukraine’s capabilities and increasing pressure on Russia. This is the only way to force Moscow to end the war,” the Foreign Minister wrote.
