
Seven people were wounded in Russian shelling in the Kherson region during the day, and a pre-trial investigation into war crimes has been launched.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
“Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation into war crimes has been launched,” the statement said.
According to the investigation, on July 2, 2025, the Russian army attacked settlements in the Kherson region using artillery and UAVs.
As of 5:30 p.m., seven people were known to have been wounded after being caught in the zone of enemy shelling.
One person was injured in the artillery attack on Kherson at 4 a.m.
During the day, as a result of Russian shelling of the regional center, Antonivka, and Zmiivka using UAVs, six more civilians were wounded to varying degrees.
Private and apartment buildings, social infrastructure facilities, and vehicles were also damaged.
As reported by Ukrinform, three civilians were wounded in the village of Antonivka, a suburb of Kherson, on July 2 as a result of a drone attack. On the morning of July 2, a Russian drone attacked a 54-year-old local resident in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson, who is now in serious condition.
