Sybiha meets with delegation of OSCE ambassadors

At a meeting with a delegation of OSCE ambassadors, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha underscored that security in Europe is impossible without a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.

Sybiha said this in a post on the social media platform X, as reported by Ukrinform.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy expressed gratitude to the Finnish OSCE Chairpersonship-in-Office and Permanent Representatives of OSCE Participating States for their personal efforts and their countries’ support for Ukraine and our people.

“We are united by the strategic goal of restoring security in Europe, which is impossible without a just and lasting peace for Ukraine. To achieve it, I urged to increase the cost of war for the aggressor and strengthen Ukraine,” Sybiha noted.

According to him, Ukraine counts on a strong 18th package of EU sanctions, in particular against Russia’s energy and banking sectors.

“We also discussed diplomatic efforts to return forcibly deported Ukrainian children and hold the aggressor to account,” the minister said.

Sybiha stressed that by attacking Ukraine, Russia violated each and every principle of the Helsinki Final Act. He added that Kyiv needs strong OSCE stance to protect OSCE principles and further isolate Russia.

“For its part, Ukraine remains committed to working with all its partners to achieve a fair peace based on fundamental principles of international law,” Sybiha assured.

As Ukrinform reported, on Wednesday, during the first solidarity visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, a delegation of Permanent Representatives of OSCE Participating States visited the site of Russia’s attack in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv and paid tribute to the victims.
