The relevant statement was made by Naftogaz of Ukraine NJSC Board Chairman Sergii Koretskyi on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Naftogaz has signed a new contract with ORLEN for the supply of American LNG. This refers to an additional 140 million cubic meters of gas from the United States, which will be regasified at the LNG terminal in Świnoujście (Poland) or Klaipėda (Lithuania) and transported to Ukraine via the Polish gas transmission system,” Koretskyi wrote.

In his words, it is the fourth gas supply contract signed by the two companies.

Overall, as part of preparations for the next heating season, Naftogaz has already contracted 440 million cubic meters of LNG from ORLEN.
