In Russian-occupied Luhansk, a collaborator and former “head of the city administration,” Manolis Pilavov, was killed in an explosion.
That is according to the Telegram channel Astra, Ukrinform reports.
“Manolis Pilavov, former mayor of occupied Luhansk, was killed in an explosion in the city,” the post reads.
The Telegram channel cites Russian occupation media, which, in turn, reported that Pilavov’s death was confirmed by his relatives.
Pilavov was a member of the Party of Regions and, for a time, served as president of the Luhansk football club Zorya.
In the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic” (LPR), he headed the occupation “city administration” from 2014 to 2023.
The Security Service of Ukraine had been seeking him as an “active member of an illegal armed group.”
