During Russia’s overnight attack, dozens of Shahed drones were shot down by Ukrainian interceptor drones.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky in a video address, Ukrinform reports.

“It was a rocky start to the day, with more than 500 Russian attack drones and missiles. Difficult, but a significant number were shot down. Regrettably, some struck their targets. Interceptor drones demonstrated important performance today. Dozens of Shaheds were taken down specifically by interceptors,” he said.

According to the President, interceptor drone production is being rapidly scaled up, and drone operators are undergoing special training.
