Kyiv sends 2,350 drones of various types to hottest frontline sectors

The Kyiv community has handed over another major batch of drones—2,350 in total—to some of the hottest sectors of the frontline.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

The batch includes 2,000 FPV drones of various types, 200 Mavic UAVs equipped for both day and night operations, as well as electronic warfare equipment. These assets were transferred to the 225th Separate Assault Regiment, which operates under the direct command of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, 100 Mavic drones were delivered to the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade, and another 50 Mavic drones were handed over to the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade.

Klitschko noted that UAH 200 million had already been allocated from the city budget in the first half of the year to support the 225th Regiment. He emphasized that since the beginning of the year, the Kyiv community has sent more than 25,000 UAVs of various types to the front line.

He also recalled that the Kyiv City Council has allocated UAH 6 billion in 2024 to support Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces.
