France’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noel Barrot, has arrived in Ukraine for a two-day visit, Ukrinform reports.
According to his official agenda, Barrot is visiting Ukraine at the invitation of his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrii Sybiha. During his stay, he will attend the Ukrainian Ambassadors’ Conference, hold talks with President Volodymyr Zelensky, and meet with government officials to discuss continued French support for Ukraine.
In light of the unprecedented sanctions imposed by France and the European Union against the Russian regime, Barrot is expected to discuss further assistance with President Zelensky, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, and Foreign Minister Sybiha.
The French minister will also visit the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, emphasizing France’s leading role in ensuring nuclear safety and contributing to the rehabilitation of the nuclear plant following its occupation by Russian forces in 2022.
