War update: 85 battles on frontline since morning, 30 Russian attacks repelled in Pokrovsk sector

Since the start of the day, there have been 85 combat engagements between Ukrainian defenders and Russian forces. The Pokrovsk sector remains the hottest combat zone, with 30 enemy attacks already repelled.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, sharing the operational update as of 16:00 on Friday, July 25, according to Ukrinform.

“Since the beginning of the day, 85 combat clashes have been recorded,” the report stated.

According to the General Staff, border settlements continue to suffer from artillery shelling originating from Russian territory, including Huta Studenetska in Chernihiv region; Bobylivka, Oleksandrivka, Pokrovka, Tymofiivka, Slavhorod, Bila Bereza, Simeikyne, and Rozhkovychi in Sumy region.

Airstrikes were reported on Hremiach in Chernihiv region and Yastrubyne in Sumy region.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy assaults. Russia also launched two airstrikes, dropped four guided aerial bombs (GABs), and carried out 168 shellings, including one using a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions three times near Hlyboke, Fiholivka, and toward Kozacha Lopan, all successfully repelled. GABs were also dropped on Kharkiv.

In the Kupiansk sector, one attack took place near Stepova Novoselivka.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian invaders launched 15 assaults near Hrekivka, Novyi Myr, Serednie, Ridkodub, Yampolivka, Kolodiazi, and Dibrova. Thirteen were successfully stopped, fighting still ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, enemy attempted 10 breakthroughs near Hryhorivka and Vyimka. Five clashes are ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, two attacks occurred near Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, five enemy assaults were reported near Dyliivka, Toretsk, and Rusyn Yar.

The Pokrovsk sector saw 34 Russian attacks aimed at dislodging Ukrainian troops near Popiv Yar, Novoekonomichne, Razyne, Lysivka, Chunishyne, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Novoukrainka, and Oleksiivka. Ukrainian forces repelled 30 of these, and four clashes are still ongoing. Airstrikes hit Rodynske, Mykolaivka, and Sukhyi Yar.

In the Novopavlivka sector, eight attacks were launched near Zelenyi Hai, Tovste, Novokhatske, and Temyrivka. Three engagements are ongoing.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russian aircraft struck Bilohiria.

In the Orikhiv sector, airstrikes targeted Orikhiv.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Russian troops attempted to break through six times. One clash is still active. Airstrikes were also launched at Kozatske.

In sectors of the front, no significant changes have been reported.

As Ukrinform previously reported, the village of Lyptsi in Kharkiv region is fully under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
