As of August 13, 280 children remained in nine settlements of the Donetsk region where the compulsory evacuation of minors is being carried out.
Dmytro Petlin, head of the duty service, communications, alert, and public information unit of the Department for Civil Protection, Mobilization, and Defense Work at the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, stated this during an online briefing, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“Measures are under way to carry out the compulsory evacuation of children together with their families or legal representatives. Nine settlements in the Kramatorsk-Pokrovsk district have been designated for such evacuations. There are still 280 children in these areas,” Petlin said.
According to him, Dobropillia in the Pokrovsk district has the largest number of children subject to compulsory evacuation – 195.
Over the past week, 196 children have been evacuated from the designated settlements, together with their parents, guardians, or other legal representatives. Most of them were evacuated from Dobropillia, Petlin added.
The compulsory evacuation of children with their families from the Donetsk region began on April 7, 2023.
