
A resident of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region was wounded as a result of Russian artillery shelling.
This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
According to the investigation, on Sunday, August 17, at around 8:00 a.m., the Russian army carried out an artillery shelling of Kupiansk. A 43-year-old man was wounded by an explosion.
In addition, the day before, on August 16, at around 6:00 p.m., Russian forces launched an air strike on the village of Nova Kozacha in the Kharkiv district. The attack damaged residential buildings and farm buildings.
A 70-year-old man suffered an acute stress reaction.
Under the procedural guidance of the Kupiansk and Derhachi District Prosecutor’s Offices of the Kharkiv region, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As reported, over the past day, Russian troops shelled four settlements in the Kharkiv region, injuring five people.
