Zelensky arrives at White House for talks with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived at the White House for a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, where possible ways to end Russia’s war against Ukraine are expected to be discussed.

That’s according to Ukrinform’s Washington correspondent.

Zelensky’s motorcade reached the presidential residence at 13:14 local time (20:14 Kyiv time). He was accompanied by the Ukrainian delegation and personally welcomed at the entrance by President Trump.

The two leaders are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting, beginning with brief statements to the press, followed by expanded talks involving the U.S., Ukrainian, and European leaders.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, French President Emmanuel Macron, and U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer are expected to join the broader discussions.
