Russians launch airstrikes on Kostiantynivka, casualties reported

In the Donetsk region, Russian forces carried out several airstrikes on the city of Kostiantynivka, leaving civilians injured. One person may be trapped under the rubble of a building.

According to Ukrinform, Serhii Horbunov, head of the Kostiantynivka City Military Administration, reported this on Facebook.

He said that on August 18, Russian troops launched new airstrikes on Kostiantynivka using FAB-250 aerial bombs.

The first strike targeted an open area of the city, causing no casualties or damage.

Later, the occupiers carried out four more strikes on residential neighborhoods.

“There is a possibility that one civilian was injured and may be trapped under the rubble of a building,” Horbunov wrote.

He added that rescue workers are currently clearing the debris.

In addition, according to Horbunov, Russian aircraft carried out five more strikes on the city.

“One civilian sought medical help on his own at a trauma unit after sustaining injuries in the attack,” he said.

According to him, enemy strikes damaged civilian and administrative infrastructure. The facade of an administrative building, an educational institution, and 12 residential apartment blocks were destroyed. A civilian car was also damaged.

On August 18, Russian forces killed five residents of the Donetsk region and wounded eight more.
