Kyiv region sends pickup trucks to Achilles regiment

The Kyiv region has handed over five pickup trucks to the 429th Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems, known as “Achilles”.

According to Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, who shared the news on Facebook, these vehicles are far more than just transport on the front lines. They enable rapid movement of units, delivery of equipment and supplies, and swift response to combat situations.

Kalashnyk emphasized that pickups often save lives, allowing soldiers to reposition in time or carry out difficult missions.

“The vehicles were purchased using a subsidy from the regional budget — another clear sign that the Kyiv region supports its defenders not just with words, but with concrete actions,” Kalashnyk noted.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, the Kyiv community also donated 6,000 drones of various types to the soldiers of the 3rd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
