Russia’s war casualty toll in Ukraine climbs by 830 over past day

Russia suffered approximately 1,073,530 casualties in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and August 21, 2025, with 830 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine’s defense forces have destroyed 11,120 (+1) Russian tanks, 23,157 (+5) armored fighting vehicles, 31,789 (+41) artillery systems, 1,471 (+1) multiple rocket launchers, 1,209 (+1) anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 3,565 cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 422 warplanes, 340 helicopters, 52,469 (+315) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 28 warships/cutters, 1 submarine, 59,316 (+114) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 3,944 (+1) pieces of special equipment.
