
Russian troops have again struck Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, killing a 66-year-old woman and injuring four people.
This was reported by the Kharkiv region police on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“On August 22, Russian troops carried out another shelling of the city of Kupiansk. As a result of the enemy strike, a 66-year-old woman was killed. A 54-year-old man and women aged 53, 57, and 65 were injured,” the report said.
The police noted that doctors diagnosed the victims with acute stress reaction.
An investigative team, forensic experts, and police bomb disposal experts were dispatched to the scene.
Investigators opened a criminal case under Article 438 (war crimes) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for this war crime.
