Russia’s war casualty toll in Ukraine climbs by 920 over past day

Russia suffered approximately 1,078,750 casualties in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and August 27, 2025, with 920 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine’s defense forces have destroyed 11,135 (+1) Russian tanks, 23,178 armored fighting vehicles, 32,024 (+45) artillery systems, 1,472 multiple rocket launchers, 1,212 (+1) anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 3,598 cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 422 warplanes, 340 helicopters, 53,636 (+194) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 28 warships/cutters, 1 submarine, 59,887 (+118) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 3,950 pieces of special equipment.
