Millions of Ukrainians are encountering russian propaganda every day. It spreads through TV, radio, mass media, social networks, and word of mouth. To defeat the enemy, we must fight it on all fronts. To this end, we have prepared a daily compilation of russian fakes.
Today, the russian information space is focused on the evacuation of Azovstal. After more than 80 days of siege, the Ukrainian garrison negotiated the transfer of the wounded to russian forces. The propagandists portray this as a crushing Ukrainian defeat, even though russia lost huge amounts of time, men, and material trying to take the city, destroying it in the process. This Pyrrhic victory is the only military success russia had in a long time, so the propaganda will do everything to exploit it. russian media channels are already mocking and denigrating the Mariupol defenders, trying to turn their heroic defense into a meaningless defeat. We will see a lot of fakes aimed at destroying the reputation of the Mariupol defenders and the Ukrainian army as a whole, we will see attempts to demoralize Ukrainians and break their will. - The US was developing bioweapons in Ukraine
- Poland is planning to capture western Ukraine
- NATO weapons are useless
- Ukrainian soldiers are surrendering en masse
- The west is controlling Ukraine

At first, russian propaganda claimed that Ukraine planned to attack the russian separatist enclaves in the east of the country. Now, propagandists claim that Ukraine planned a full-scale invasion of russia.
This narrative is often used to justify russian invasion of Ukraine. Only Ukraine did not plan to invade, russia did. Ukraine did not gather a 200 thousand strong armies on the border, russia did. Ukraine did not start the war, russia did.

russian officials are changing their tune as of late. We can hear, with increasing frequency, puzzled and annoyed statements about Ukraine’s unwillingness to capitulate. As russian military failures pile up, russian propaganda starts to call Ukrainians fanatics, and blames Ukraine for “stupidly and irrationally prolonging the conflict” by defending itself. As if the outcome of the war is long decided, and any Ukrainian resistance is harmful and futile. Only it looks more and more likely that russia is going to lose the war.
Such statements, designed to dismay and demotivate Ukrainians, would work if russia really had the upper hand. Now they only show the depth of russian desperation. A country that attacked its neighbor unprovoked is complaining that the neighbor is resisting and that the old friendship is ruined. It seems that blaming the victim is a time-honored tradition of russian culture.
