As Ukrinform wrote earlier, on April 20, 2021, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, received in his Presidential Palace in Minsk Ukraine’s MP Yevhen Shevchenko. The parliamentarian went to Minsk despite the fact that political relations between Ukraine and Belarus had been suspended in autumn 2020 due to the decision not to recognize Lukashenko’s victory in the presidential election.

In May 2021, Shevchenko was expelled from the Servant of the People faction.
