Shmyhal: Russian missile hit residential building when people were returning home

Russia’s missile attack on Dnipro took place at a time when citizens were returning home.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this in a post on Telegram, calling on partners to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense, Ukrinform reports.

“Dnipro. A Russian missile hit a residential building. On Friday evening, when people were returning home. Four floors were destroyed. There are dead and wounded. A child was injured. Rescuers are working at the scene, extinguishing the fire, dismantling the rubble, providing assistance,” Shmyhal noted.

He added that the Ukrainian authorities continue to reiterate to their partners the importance of providing air defense systems for Ukraine, stressing that these systems can save lives and protect cities from Russian terror.

As reported by Ukrinform, on June 28, one person was killed and nine others were injured in a Russian missile attack on a residential building in Dnipro. Three of the victims are in serious condition.
