“I just spoke with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, who visited Irpin as part of a working visit to Ukraine. I gave him presentations of the destruction of our town and asked for his country’s help in rebuilding the destroyed homes of Irpin’s residents, our schools and kindergartens,” the mayor said.

Markushyn also thanked Rutte for the strong support of Ukraine and Ukrainians.

In June, Rutte said that Ukraine’s success in countering Russian aggression will depend on the supply of weapons by its Western allies, so the country should be given even more weapons.
